Dressing Aids Offer Independence

"Hallelujah" the woman said after she found out that she will not have to help her husband Jack get dressed in the mornings as often as she had in the past.  He was just given a Dressing Stick as a birthday present from his youngest daughter.  This will allow more independence for both of them as now Jack can dress on his own each morning.  Jack is paralyzed from the waist down and had always relied on his wife or kids to get dressed each day.

Medical Gear For Life offers a variety of Dressing Aids for folks with limited range of motion and  who have trouble bending.  Here are some examples;

The tool can be used to pull up pants and skirts, put on jackets and shirts, and can even help remove shocks.

The Foot Socker provides assistance when donning your socks.  There is a handle to provide firm control as you slide your foot into the sock.  A scooped trough holds the sock open as you slip your foot into the sock.

This product is the easiest way to put on compression hose and it has a patented Heel Guide.  A channel on the inside acts as a heel guide to keep the foot in the perfect position.  It has 3 grip levels to accommodate for different heights and hand sizes.

The shoehorn can adjust from 12 to 30 in length so can be used while standing or sitting.  It is ideal for packing when you travel as it iwll fit in your suit case or overnight bag.

If you have weak or arthritic fingers then you know that there is no more difficult task than buttoning a button.  The product eliminates the stress and frustration by pulling the button or zipper into position.  It also folds to half-length so it will fit into a pocket or purse.
